No, It's the northern border of Bonita Bay, the place that we stay at. You need a small boat to fish it.

Matlacha is a wide spot in the road between Cape Coral and Pine Island. There are some restaurants and stores. There's a draw-bridge there across a narrow spot in Pine Island Sound that produces more current and the structure attracts life. Lots of manatees on the east side in the morning. You can fish from the bridge and a small park at the east end. Whatever swims can be found there at one time or another. Clean restroom and fish cleaning station in park.

That park is about the only parking with about 12 spaces. D and D Tackle is a mile west.

I like shore fishing at Blind Pass. Always catch something. Worth tolerating traffic. Earlier is always better. Two good bait shops on Sanibel along the way.
Beautiful place with blue water. Bridge and surf access between Sanibel and Captiva islands. It's a chore parking with lots on North and South sides of the bridge. Good restrooms North side. Great shell collecting and nice beach.
Really isn't ever a time to use weights heavier than an ounce. 90 plus percent of the time 1/4 works if using braid. Spoons work, and live shrimp. Look up how to make a Jupiter rig.

And don't be shy about fishing Sanibel Causway. It's a big stretch with flats wading, shore fishing, and some small bridges. Check Anderson's tackle on McGregor avenue right along your route.
